Script: A good one!!!! Deals with a very serious theme and pulls it off effectively.. A lot of issues, lot of characters involved and a brave take on the society....
But where it lacks is the pace... For today's generation who lives on 3G and 21.1 Mbps broadband, its a tad slow...
I have a few issues with certain logic in the script, but leaving it aside for now,...
Direction: Ranjith Sankar has technically leapt from Passenger, but then is he becoming a brand yet?? Well I dont think so...
I feel it is a mere cinematography of the script that has happened, and the creativity of a director was missing some how...
Performances:
No challenging role /performance demanding character...
Prithvi, Ann, Nedumudi, Mukesh all effortlessly comes out with good performances..
But for me Jagathy rocked....

Synopsis - Roy Mathew (Prithviraj) accidentally gets the anonymous Arjunan image which opens the door of mysteries behind the murder of District Collector Feroz Moopan (Mukesh).
Script & Direction - First of all,I am not impressed with Renjith Shankar's "Passenger".It was just a fine movie for me.The main reason is the traces of amateurish scripting of a brilliant plot.But with Arjunan Saakshi,Renjith Shankar has proved that he is here to stay.Seems like he learnt the mistakes he committed with Passenger.Its been quite a rare sight for a star's cinema completely revolving around the basic plot.The film never trespasses beyond the borderline.I am yet to find an unnecessary scene from this film.I am thankful to the director for using Prithviraj the actor n was never intimidated by Prithviraj the star.There wasn't a single sequence where he tried to glorify Prithvi's action image n thus satisfy his fans.We can recognize every character including the main protagonist who is not picturised as a superman.Checkout the climax fight which underlines the previous line.The idea was fresh and very relevant (The last time I saw such a relevant theme was in Ividam Swargamaanu).The direction n frames have complemented very well with a tight screenplay.The only negative if I am forced to find is the pace of the movie (which was fine by me) which wasn't accepted well by the mass.Hats of Ranjith Shankar!!!

Cast & Performance - Except the drunken scene n voice modulation during the first few scenes,Prithviraj proves that he is the best choice out of the lot to play the role of Roy Mathew.The energy of an excited actor is clearly seen in his performance.I am glad to see that both he n the director convincingly shed out the Vijay image through this Film.Ann Augustine was decent.Jagathi Sreekumar's cameo was brilliant as Ibrahim Moopan.Vijayaraghavan,Nedumudi Venu,Ramu did their roles well as expected.Suresh Krishna,Anand,Biju Menon n Niyaz had to play the same roles they have done many times in their career.Thank God that Suraaj n Slaimkumar didn't irritate us this time.Mukesh guest appearance was quite a pleasant change from his usual characters
Songs & Background Score - The songs have worked out well with this movie.One was used as a theme while the other was used to build up a scene.Still both songs are not memorable.But the background score by Bijipal was brilliant.
Technical Expertise - Ajayan Vincent has been dependable as ever.The slick look in the interiors n the broad n natural look used to frame the exteriors have worked out well.The costumes of both Ann n Prithviraj made them look stylish.The editing was tight n thankfully wasn't irritating.A special mentioned to the action director who done the chase scene.It was awesome.

BOTTOMLINE - I went to see the very first show.But I felt really bad when the audience booed after the end of the show.It clearly indicates that the industry is ready for a change in form of Renjith Shankar,Bobby-Sanjay etc etc..But I am not sure the Malayalee audience are ready.If you want to watch a well made thriller using a relevant subject with zero commercial ingredients,Book your show.
