i saw the movie in bits and pieces in during the last three days..a feel good movie....except dileep no one else in the industry could do this role...the first half is extremely hilarious.....jagathi as a serious lecturer induces heaps of fun so does thilakan,zeenath and the gilr who acted as dileep's sister..

the movie loses its plot in the second half..drama takes over and the director loses the grip of the script...still this is one of the movies which makes us interested to watch it over and over again with a brilliant first half

i iiked the heroine in this film..some of the love scenes r really good like that "chorupatram" scene

Meenathil Thaalikeetu is heart warming story led by the Protagonist Omanakuttan (Dileep) who is an over aged +2 student,who father (Thilakan) wanted him to be an IAS officer.Things change suddenly when Omanakuttan had to marry his friend's sister,Malathi (Sulekha) when the gal's parents couldn't pay off the dowry.Eventhough the marriage was unexpected,the lover in Omanakuutan was woken up after the marriage n the film has numerous funny scenes where Omanakuutan makes attempts to has private moments with his wife.But this ends up in a crisis when his wife gets pregnant n his dad questions Omanakuttan's integrity of leading a family life.Accepting this challenge,Omanakuttan leaves his house along with his wife n the plot thickens when Omanakuttan faces the real challenge of life,leading an independent life.Finally Omanakuttan realizes the value of his father's protection he enjoyed for many years n how tough it was to attain one.

Brilliant Casting n Performances especially by Dileep-Thilakan combination..After Mohanlal,I felt Dileep was the best actor to don the role of Thilakan's son n the screenplay exploited their chemistry well.Sulekha inspite of giving a sleepy performance looked apt for her character.Jagathy Sreekumar n Zeenath were brilliant in their roles.

A strong n engaging screenplay by A K Sajan

n his then Co-writer A K Santhosh brought full justice to Lal Jose' fresh storyline.The direction was decent enough to keep the film engaging n give a feel good effect after the end of the show.

Songs by Yesudas-Ousepachan-Gireesh Puthenchery were simply superb...Oru Poovine is my fav followed by Doore Oru Thaaram...,Maarivillin Mel... n a pathos in the film of Aaromale Pon Thoovale.....I believe that Yesudas has a huge role in lending a huge support for Dileep just like Kunchacko Boban of that era to maintain a decent career.

I think the film was a financial flop due to lack of stars (Dileep wasn't a star then) but enjoyed a cult status when telecasted on TV just like Devadoothan,Randaam Bhaavam!!!!

8.5/10...9/10 sure for these times!!!

Kidilam performance from janapriya nayakan dileep. He lived as that character and the sense of comedy mixed perfo is absolutely brilliant.Thilakan jagathy kalabhavanmani all have done a fantastic job. First half is really a funniest one and cant even take us minute without laughing. Second half i feel a little drag though have some good senti scenes which is realistic too.

dileep waitng for his wife in first night .-- he he superb comedy thannee..acha, maalu vannila. maalu ninte kodalmaala.

jagathy + dileep + thilakan combination scenes.. he he superb..
