Nice movie....a gud beginning to the new year......the treatment of the movie is similar to movies like 21 grams,amorres perros etc.....everybody performed well.....vineeth sreenivasan and roma got the shortest roles.....but the real hero is the script.....hats off to bobby-sanjay....bgm was good.....there were 2 songs....1st song was average....last song was full of energy....theatril bhayangara olam ayirunnu....so song nere kelkkan patteela......on the downside 1st half could have been a bit more faster....pinne idakkidakku varunna senti scenes kallukadi ayittu thonni...i would rate this movie above cocktail since this one is original....

movie start with showing several life of different people

1st half was little bit slow.
due to several known actors.it rush through their life.also same incident shows from different angle .
interval punch was very good that keep interest to 2nd half.
notable performance in 1st half jose prakash guest role it was very good.

in the beginning of 2nd half there is a twist .and i will say good 2nd half.
2nd half more focused to chakochan,srenivasan,asif ali.
they performed well.also rahman&anoop menon

climax can be predicted.

ബോബി - സഞ്ജയ് ടീം സിനിമയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി സിനിമയുണ്ടാക്കുന്നവരല്ല. വ്യത്യസ്തമായ കഥകള്‍, ഷോക്കിംഗ് ആയ ത്രെഡുകള്‍ ഇവയൊക്കെ ലഭിക്കുമ്പോഴാണ് ഇവര്‍ തിരക്കഥയ്ക്കായി ഇരിക്കുക. എന്‍റെ വീട് അപ്പൂന്‍റേം, നോട്ടുബുക്ക് തുടങ്ങിയ സിനിമകളും ‘അവിചാരിതം’ പോലുള്ള സീരിയലുകളും സമ്മാനിച്ച ആ ഒരു ഗ്യാരണ്ടി തന്നെയാണ് ‘ട്രാഫിക്’ എന്ന പുതിയ സിനിമയ്ക്കുമുള്ളത്. ട്രാഫിക്ക് വ്യത്യസ്തമാണ്. ഇതിന് മുന്‍‌മാതൃകകളുമില്ല.

വ്യത്യസ്തമായി എന്തു ചെയ്യാം എന്ന് ആലോചിക്കുന്നവര്‍ ഈയിടെയായി ആദ്യം ചിന്തിക്കുന്നത് ‘ഒരു റോഡ് മൂവി’ ആയാലോ എന്നാണ്. ആ കണ്‍സെപ്ട് അത്രയേറെ പഴഞ്ചനായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അടുത്തിടെ ലാല്‍ ഒരു റോഡ് മൂവി പരീക്ഷിച്ച് കയ്പ് കുടിച്ചത് നമ്മള്‍ കണ്ടതാണ്. ട്രാഫിക്ക് ഒരു റോഡ് മൂവിയാണെന്ന് കേട്ടപ്പോള്‍ ആദ്യം മനസിലെത്തിയത് ഇതാണ്. ‘ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ സൂക്ഷിക്കാന്‍’ എന്ന സിനിമ ചെയ്ത രാജേഷ് പിള്ളയാണ് സംവിധായകന്‍ എന്നുകേട്ടപ്പോഴും ഒരു ശരാശരി സിനിമയായിരിക്കും എന്നതില്‍ കവിഞ്ഞൊരു പ്രതീക്ഷയുമുണ്ടായില്ല. അപ്പോഴും ആകെയൊരു വെളിച്ചമായി ഉള്ളിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നത് ബോബി - സഞ്ജയ് എന്ന ടൈറ്റില്‍ മാത്രമാണ്.

ട്രാഫിക്, പറഞ്ഞല്ലോ സമാനതകളില്ലാത്ത ഒരു തീമാണ്. ഏകദേശം രണ്ടു വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മുമ്പ് നടന്ന ഒരു സംഭവത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് പ്രചോദനമുള്‍ക്കൊണ്ട് സൃഷ്ടിച്ച സിനിമ. ഒരു മരണം നടക്കുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ആ മരണം മറ്റൊരാളുടെ ജീവന്‍ രക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ കാരണമാകുമെങ്കില്‍...? അങ്ങനെയൊരു സാധ്യത മുന്നില്‍ക്കണ്ട്, ഒരുകൂട്ടം ആളുകള്‍ നടത്തുന്ന പോരാട്ടത്തിന്‍റെ(അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കാം... അതിജീവനത്തിനായുള്ള പോരാട്ടം) കഥയാണിത്.

ഈ സിനിമയില്‍ അഭിനയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരെയെല്ലാം നമുക്ക് മുമ്പേ പരിചയമുള്ളവരാണ്. ശ്രീനിവാസന്‍, കുഞ്ചാക്കോ ബോബന്‍, അനൂപ് മേനന്‍, ആസിഫ് അലി, രമ്യാ നമ്പീശന്‍, റഹ്‌മാന്‍ അങ്ങനെ. പക്ഷേ, നമ്മുടെയുള്ളില്‍ നാം ആഴത്തിലുറപ്പിച്ചു വച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ആ ഇമേജ് ഭണ്ഡാരമുണ്ടല്ലോ. അത് തകര്‍ക്കുന്ന പ്രമേയവും ആഖ്യാനവുമാണ് ട്രാഫിക്കിന്‍റേത്. നമുക്ക് പരിചയമുള്ള ശ്രീനിയല്ല ട്രാഫിക്കിലെ ശ്രീനി. നമുക്ക് പരിചയമുള്ള രമ്യയല്ല ട്രാഫിക്കിലെ രമ്യ.

കുഞ്ചാക്കോ ബോബന്‍, കൃഷ്ണ എന്നിവര്‍ നല്‍കുന്ന ഞെട്ടല്‍ തിയേറ്റര്‍ വിട്ടാലും നമ്മളെ പിന്തുടരും. ശ്രീനിയുടെ ത്യാഗവും നമ്മെ ബാധിക്കും. ഒരു സാധാരണ ചലച്ചിത്രം എന്നതിലുപരി ആര്‍ക്കും സംഭവിച്ചേക്കാവുന്ന യാഥാര്‍ത്ഥ്യമായി മാറുന്നു. അപ്പോള്‍ എഴുതിവച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതില്‍ അര്‍ത്ഥമുണ്ട് - A Rajesh Piallai Film.

അനൂപ് മേനന്‍ എന്ന നടന്‍ അഭിനയത്തിന്‍റെ പുതിയ വഴി തേടുകയാണ് ഈ സിനിമയില്‍. അയാള്‍ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പൊലീസ് കമ്മീഷണറുടെ ഉദ്ദേശ്യം നന്‍‌മയുടെ ഒരു ലക്‍ഷ്യത്തിലേക്ക് മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് പാതയൊരുക്കുക എന്നതാണ്. കൊച്ചി മുതല്‍ പാലക്കാട് വരെ. ഈ യാത്രയ്ക്കിടയില്‍ അപകടങ്ങള്‍ പതിയിരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്, നിഗൂഡതകള്‍ ഒളിച്ചിരിപ്പുണ്ട്.

ഒരു ജീവിതത്തിനുവേണ്ടി ഒരു ജീപ്പിലുള്ള യാത്രയാണിത്. പതി വഴിയില്‍ ജീപ്പ് അപ്രത്യക്ഷമാകുന്നു. അവിടെ മറ്റൊരു നിഗൂഡത ചുരുളഴിയും. കുഞ്ചാക്കോ ബോബന്‍ എന്ന നടന്‍റെ ഇതുവരെ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത മുഖം വെളിവാകും. 12 മണിക്കൂറിനുള്ളില്‍ സംഭവിക്കുന്ന അനേകം സംഭവങ്ങളുടെ ത്രസിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സിനിമാരൂപമാണ് ട്രാഫിക്.

ഷൈജു ഖാലിദിന്‍റെ ക്യാമറയും മഹേഷ് നാരായണന്‍റെ എഡിറ്റിംഗും ഈ സിനിമയുടെ ജീവനാണ്. മേജോ ജോസഫിന്‍റെ സംഗീതവും കൊള്ളാം. ഒഴിവാക്കേണ്ടതല്ല, തീര്‍ച്ചയായും കണ്ടിരിക്കേണ്ട സിനിമയാണ് ട്രാഫിക്. പാസഞ്ചര്‍ പോലെ, കോക്‍ടെയില്‍ പോലെ ഈ ചിത്രവും അതിന്‍റെ പുതുമയുള്ള അവതരണം കൊണ്ട് പ്രേക്ഷകരെ വശീകരിക്കും. ഒരുകാര്യം മറന്നു, ഏറെക്കാലത്തിന് ശേഷം ജോസ് പ്രകാശിനെ സ്ക്രീനില്‍ കാണാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞു. അതും ഒരു സന്തോഷം.

Rajesh pillai thanneyano Hridayathil sookshikkan cheythathu ennu thonni pokum(Actualy njan e padam kandittu polum illa).
Bobby Sanjay Screenplay-Sharikkum asooya thonnunnu,Casanova will be super for sure.Etra complex aya screenplay Very different characters and Screenplay nicely interwoven.
Nice songs and BGM By Mejo Joseph which is an integral part of this movie.
Every actor lived their role.

In one word a Brilliant film.
Great start to 2011.
Definitely th best thing about this movie is its outstanding Screenplay plus its tight direction.
Each nd every one in this movie acted to their best.This wud be definitely an image breaker for Kunchakko Boban.
Asif ali,Sreenivasan,Anoop Menon,Rahman too deserves applause.
IMO th show stealer was Saikumar,whot a perfomance!!!!
"Mr.collector,Ningalkkum baaki ellavarkum avan marikkan pokunna etho oralanu,pakshe enikk avan ippozhum jeevichirikkunna ente makananu...Pls try to understand what it means.....!"
Also another positive thing about this movie is the brilliant execution of Sentiments,loved each scene.
Songs nd BGM too were apt for th film.

Verdict: Path breaking/ A Must Watch.

നായികമാര്‍ക്ക് റോള്‍ kuravaanengilum നല്ല അഭിനയം എല്ലാരും കാഴ്ച വെച്ചു !!
track മാറ്റിയുള്ള കഥയുടെ സഞ്ചാരം , ചില latin american ചിത്രങ്ങളെയും , french ചിത്രങ്ങളെയും ഓര്‍മ്മിപ്പിച്ചു !!!!
യുവാക്കള്‍ക്ക് ഈ ചിത്രം ഇഷ്ടമാകും, ഫാമിലി audience എങ്ങനെ accept ചെയ്യുമെന്ന് കാത്തിരുന്നു കാണാം !!!

What a movie 10/10

Avoided innovative as theater was bad and went to more expensive and good fame cinemas trusting the reviews here...I have to say only one word thanks !!!!

Movie was brilliant to core.

The under lived wife(Rahman's) exploding when demand came was the most brilliant scene of the movie for me. that is how real females are built like.

Saikumar was at his best..as most lovable dad any one can get...his facial expression on hearing medical terms was awesome.

All had their moments and there was no un necessary characters..and they will follow us for a long time for sure...

Nothing more to say one of the best movie mal has ever produced for me.

Just when you thought that Malayalam filmmakers have stopped experimenting with newer themes and styles, here is a fascinating movie which will totally shake you up.

Director Rajesh Pillai has come up with the fantastically made Traffic, based on a well-written script by Bobby & Sanjay. There are no formulaic ingredients or gimmickry here and it is a clean, honest film.

The main events mentioned in the story happen on a single day, September 16, at a crowded traffic junction in Kochi. Two friends, Raihan (Vineeth Sreenivasan) and Rajeev (Asif Ali), travelling in a bike is fatally hit by a speeding car at the signal. Raihan was all set to interview a superstar, Siddharth Shankar (Rahman).

Also at the junction, in another car, was a surgeon Dr. Abel (Kunchacko Boban). Sudevan (Sreenivasan), a police constable, who had been suspended for accepting a bribe, had rejoined duty at the nearby traffic police station around the same time.

As fate would have it, the lives of all these individuals intertwine in a curious way from then on. The doctors fail to rescue Raihan and his heart is all set to be transplanted to Siddharth’s ailing daughter. But it is a near impossible task as the doctors and cops get ready to give a try.

They have to carry the heart all the way to Palakkad, in a matter of some hours, by road. The story takes some dramatic turns in between, which make the narrative even more interesting.

Here is one film which has excelled in virtually all the departments. Rajesh Pillai, who has earlier directed the eminently forgettable Hridayathil Sookshikkaan some years back, has shown amazing maturity and technical brilliance while narrating the story. Bobby & Sanjay, the duo known for scripts like Ente Veedu Appoontem and Note Book, has written a complex story in an excellent manner.
