ജയറാം സ്വപ്നങ്ങളിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു
ഭാവിയെക്കുറിച്ച് ഒരുപാട് സ്വപ്നം കാണുന്നവനാണ്. ഒരുപാട് പ്ലാനുകള്‍ ഉള്ളവനാണ്. പക്ഷേ സ്വപ്നത്തിന് അനുസരിച്ച് ജീവിക്കാനുള്ള ത്രാണിയില്ല. അതിനുള്ള വരുമാനമില്ല. എങ്കിലും സ്വപ്നങ്ങള്‍ പൂവണിയാനായി പരമാവധി ശ്രമിക്കുന്നു. അവ പൂവണിയുമ്പോഴാകട്ടെ വലിയ ബാധ്യത ചുമലില്‍ ഏറുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
ഒരു ശരാശരി മലയാളിയുടെ കഥയാണിത് എന്ന് ആരും പറയാതെ തന്നെ മനസിലാക്കാമല്ലോ. കമലും ജയറാമും അതുതന്നെയാണ് ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചതും. സാധാരണക്കാരന്‍റെ കഥയുമായി സംവിധായകന്‍ കമല്‍ വീണ്ടും എത്തുകയാണ്. കെ ഗിരീഷ്കുമാറിന്‍റെ തിരക്കഥയില്‍ ജയറാം നായകനാകുന്ന കമല്‍ ചിത്രത്തിന് ‘സ്വപ്നസഞ്ചാരി’ എന്ന് പേരിട്ടു.
അജയചന്ദ്രന്‍ നായര്‍ എന്ന ഗള്‍ഫുകാരനായാണ് ജയറാം ഈ ചിത്രത്തില്‍ വേഷമിടുന്നത്. ഭാര്യയും മകള്‍ അശ്വതിയുമടങ്ങുന്ന സന്തുഷ്ടകുടുംബം. പക്ഷേ, ഇതിലൊനും തൃപ്തനല്ല അജയന്‍. അയാള്‍ക്ക് ഒരുപാട് മോഹങ്ങളുണ്ട്. അതിനുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള നെട്ടോട്ടമാണ് അയാളുടെ ജീവിതം. ആഗ്രഹങ്ങള്‍ സഫലമാക്കാനുള്ള അജയചന്ദ്രന്‍ നായരുടെ പോരാട്ടങ്ങളുടെ രസകരമായ കഥയാണ് ‘സ്വപ്നസഞ്ചാരി’.
