After ‘Thanthonni’, Anwar and ‘Pokkiri Raja’, Prithviraj will join the sets of ‘Manikya Kallu’, the new movie by M Mohanan (‘Katha Parayumpol’ fame). The young star will appear as Vinayachandran, a government school teacher who is transferred to a silent village. Telling the intense story of a teacher-student relationship, the movie will also feature Innocent, Salim Kumar, Mukesh, Jagathy, Kottayam Nazeer, Jagadeesh and K P A C Lalitha.
The movie which will also feature a bunch of child artists will be scripted by the director himself. Produced by Gowri Meenakshi movies, the music department of the movie will be handled by M Jayachandran. The makers are in the lookout for fresh promising faces as child artists and the heroine.

"Manikya Kallu" makers searching for fresh faces

"Manikya Kallu" is yet another Malayalam flick in the budding superstar Prithviraj's kitty. The movie to be directed by M Mohanan is about a teacher in a village and his students. The movie requires few child artists, and according to sources, the filmmakers are in lookout for some fresh faces. The heroine of the movie is also yet to be decided. The movie will be scripted by the director himself and it is being done on an experimental basis with so many new faces, say sources.

Samvrutha Sunil has been lucky enough to grab the best roles in Mollywood, and to become the essential ingredient of hit movies.

The year saw her start with a hit movie in ‘Happy Husbands’. Last year she had been the part of hit movies like ‘Robinhood' and now she is called to play the lead in another Prithviraj movie 'Manikya Kallu’.

This second movie from director M Mohanan after the trendsetting ‘Katha Parayumpol’ will feature her as a physical education teacher in a local school. Prithviraj appears as Vinayachandran, the newly appointed teacher at Vannamala government school, which was originally founded by the Britishers. ‘'Manikya Kallu’ will kick off its shoot by the end of this month at Ottapalam and Palakkad.
