Masters is a forthcoming movie directed by Johny Antony, starring Prithviraj in the pivotal role.


Written by Jinu Abraham, Masters is produced by Sarath Chandran under the banner Sincere Cinema.


Johny Antony directed the films like CID Moosa, Inspector Garud, Kochi Rajavu, all starring Dileep in the lead roles. His other hit ventures were Thuruppugulan and Pattanathil Bhootham, both with Mammootty as hero.


Tamil actor - director Sasi Kumar also play an equal role in Masters along with Prithviraj. Sasikumar's debut Tamil film as an actor was in Subramaniapuram which was a super hit in Kerala.


Masters is the story of two friends who studied together and has a great bond of friendship. They reach heights in their career as well and enter into different challenging professions.


But they try to keep their friendship alive with their strength and genius. Both the friends have the same goal. Prithviraj and Sasikumar play the role of the close friends.


Jagathy Sreekumar, Vijayaraghavan, Biju Menon, Siddique, Suresh Krishna and Anil Murali are the others in the cast.


The pre-production work of Masters is in full swing and the film will go on floors in July. Masters is expected to reach silver screens by Christmas 2011.

Prithviraj and Five Heroines in "Masters".

"Masters" which deals with the lives of two best buddies. Prithviraj and director Sasikumar will play the lead characters .
The movie also marks the Malayalam debut of Sasikumar, who has given us the hit movies Subramaniyapuram, Pasanga and Naadodigal.
Another main highlight of 'Masters',is that the film filled wid Five Heroines. Piaa Bajpai and Ananya is two among five female leads,other three will fix soon. 'Masters' shoot will starts from August 10 at Kottayam.

Piaa Bajpai with Prithviraj in "Masters".

Piaa Bajpai is now ready to rock Mollywood. Yes, the actress will soon be seen in director Johnny Anthony's film Masters which deals with the lives of two best buddies. Prithviraj and director Sasikumar will play the lead characters while Piaa will appear as Prithviraj's pair. The movie also marks the Malayalam debut of Sasikumar, who has given us the hit movies Subramaniyapuram, Pasanga and Naadodigal.
Piaa made her Tamil debut in Vijay's film Poi Solla Porom in 2008. But she shot to fame in Venkat Prabhu's Goa as Roshini, a beautiful pub singer. Her cute smile and vibrant personality have been the highlights of most of her roles. But with the recent release Ko, in which she played Sara aka Saraswathi, she proved to be a dynamic performer as well.

To be produced by V Sharathchandran in the banner of Sincere cinema, the movie is based on a script by Jinu Abraham. While Madhu Neelakantan is in charge of the camera section, Pattanam Rasheed does the makeup. 'The movie which will have its pooja next week, will be on sets by the 10 th of August.

Piaa was the surprise packet of KV Anand directed Ko.

Now the petite actress with a fiery determination of making it big in south is all set to do her first Malayalam film.

Says Piaa: "I wanted to shed that bubbly, girl-next-door image that I had in Tamil and all of a sudden this role fell on my lap. It is a realistic film and I play a very interesting character opposite Pritviraj”

The film titled Masters is being directed by Johnny Antony and also has Tamil director Sasikumar (Subramaniapuram fame) in an important role.

After signing the film, Piaa says that she spoke to her mentor and guru director Priyadarshan who told her "if you want to lean the fine nuances of acting, go do a Malayalam film" .

Piaa is all excited as she is getting hundreds of fan mails on social networking sites welcoming her to God's own country. "I am so touched by the love and warmth that I am receiving after signing the film. I am truly going to enjoy the experience of working in a Malayalam film", adds the actress.

ജോണി ആന്‍റണി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുന്ന 'മാസ്റ്റേഴ്‌സ്' സിനിമയില്‍ അവസരം ലഭിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ നടി പിയ ബാജ്‌പെയ് ആദ്യം വിളിച്ചത് സംവിധായകന്‍ പ്രിയദര്‍ശനെ. ''അഭിനയം പഠിക്കുവാന്‍ പിയ ഇനി ഒരു ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റിയൂട്ടിലും പോകേണ്ട ആവശ്യമില്ല. കിട്ടിയ അവസരം മനോഹരമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുക'' -പ്രിയദര്‍ശന്റെ മറുപടി ഇങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നു.

പിയയെന്ന നടിയെ സിനിമാ ലോകത്തു പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തിയതു പ്രിയദര്‍ശനായിരുന്നു. എല്‍. വിജയ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് പ്രിയദര്‍ശന്‍ നിര്‍മിച്ച 'പൊയ് സൊല്ലാ പോരം' എന്ന തമിഴ് സിനിമയിലായിരുന്നു പിയയുടെ അരങ്ങേറ്റം. തന്റെ പരസ്യ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലെ മോഡലായിരുന്ന പിയയ്ക്കു സിനിമയില്‍ തിളങ്ങാനാവുമെന്ന് പ്രിയദര്‍ശന്‍ പ്രവചിച്ചിരുന്നു. 2008 സപ്തംബറില്‍ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ 'പൊയ് സൊല്ലാ പോരം' വേണ്ടത്ര ശ്രദ്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടില്ല. എങ്കിലും നായിക നടി പിയ കോളിവുഡില്‍ ശ്രദ്ധ നേടി.

Johnny Antony is directing Prithviraj in his new film Masters. Tamil actress from Mumbai Piaa would play the heroine in the film along with Ananya.

Another highlight of the film is Tamil actor Sasikumar of Subramaniapuram and Nadodigal fame would be playing Prithvi's buddy.
A big pooja of the film was held recently in Kochi in which Mammootty, Blessy and others took part.
Jinu Abraham who has written the story, says it is about two bosom friends, played by Prithvi and Sasi who try different ways to fulfill their social responsibility.

Johnny Antony said at the launch that the film is about male bonding. Masters is being produced by V Sharathchandran under the banner of Sincere Cinema.

The cinematographer is Madhu Neelakantan while Pattanam Rasheed will do makeup. The shoot of the film will start from August 10.
