Saw SURESH GOPI's 'MELVILASOM' and it is a realistic Movie like Traffic & Cocktail.
This entire movie is shot in a court room. I liked it. Good movie. Worth Watching...

A Suresh gopi,Parthibhan,Thalaivasal vijay movie - A Different approach but could have been a classic if it had a better script and climax.

The movie is pretty fast than expected and the most different thing in the movie is that it has just one scene throughout the movie - a "Court MArshall" .

If you have watched some of the recent malayalam craps , i would suggest you to watch this one.

a superb movie supported by d casts......d whole movie going on in a court, but frm d beginning to end v wont feel bored.....sathyam paranjaal length kuranju poyi enna paraathi aanu enikku ullathu.d real eg hw a class can entertain... i felt to clap for many scenes nd dialogues....but as d crowd was less nd most were high class viewers i controlled myself.....suresh gopi gave an out nd out top notch performance.....his face reflects d age, still he was confident nd energetic under tat army lawyer's costume nd definitely it is d major highlight f d movie.....thalaivasal vijay as d presiding officer made his role perfect so as parthibhan.....ashokan was lso good nd i liked him very much......

status- oru 50 per.. 

First of all hats off to the director and the producer's guts to do something like this.A whole film in one room.Even in '12 Angry Men' there are 2 scenes which are taking place outside the room.Here the whole film takes place inside the room .Dialogues were so powerful that we are able to see the event though it is not actually shown on screen.The sound design was superb, it gave the ambience that it is taking place in a military area.Suresh Gopi rocked with his dialogue delivery.Parthibhan did a wonderful job, his voice modulation was damn good.Thalaivasal Vijay also did a good job.All the other actors including krishnakumar and Ashokan did well.This film is a challenge for any filmmaker. The debutant director has succeded in making the film engaging.
A MUST WATCH

Debutant Director Madhav Ramdas has done an excellent job in Melvilasam. The movie is based on the famous play by Soorya krishnamoorthy and the screenplay of the movie is also written by him. The script has been simply superb and the most interseting thing about the movie is that the suspense is kept well till the climax. The full shooting is takem at a court room and that too would be first time in malayalam cinema. The one drawback what i personally feel was the movie lost its paceat some point. But later it picks the flow and goes superb till the end. Bharath Suresh Gopi has done a brilliant job as Captain Vikas Roy. Parthipan once again proves that there hasnt been any replacement for him. Thalaivasal Vijay, Ashokan, Nizhalgal Ravi every body has done their part well. Melvilasam is definitely a rare thing in Malayalam CInema and therefore it was the responsibilty of Malayali audiance to give their valuable support to these kind of attempts.
Hope that this year is definitely going to be good for Malayalam Cinema. We had already seen Traffic, now its Melvilasam and a lot of other different movies are also there in the pipeline which will be hitting the theatres soon.
Before I conclude one final word . This movie has broken all the conventional story telling methods used in Malayalam Cinema and its really worth your money. So please dont miss it.

തലശ്ശേരി ലിബെര്ടി: ഞാന്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പടെ ഒരു പതിനൊന്നു പന്ത്രണ്ടു പേര്‍ ഒന്നിച്ചു ഈ പടം കണ്ടു... ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്‍... മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ മറ്റു കൂതറ പടങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടു കരയട്ടെ.

തിരക്കഥ ആണ് ഇതിലെ മികച്ച താരം. സംവിധായകന് സ്പേസ് കുറവാണ്... കുറച്ചതാണ്. ഒരു പതിവ് സിനിമയുടെ സാദ്ധ്യതകള്‍ കൊണ്ടുള്ള അലച്ചില്‍.. ഒന്നും ഇല്ല...അത് ഒരു കുറവാണോ അതോ പ്ലസ്‌ പോയിന്റ് ആണോ എന്ന് എനിക്ക് സംശയം ആണ് ഈ ചിത്രത്തില്‍..
അത്യന്തം നാടകീയത നിറഞ്ഞു നില്‍ക്കുന്ന പടം ആണ്.. ആദ്യ പത്തു മിനിറ്റ് കളില്‍ "വല്ലാതെ" അഭിനയിച്ച ചെറുപ്പക്കാര്‍ സിനിമയെ കുളം ആകും എന്ന് തോന്നി.. ഈ നാടകീയത ആകാശഗോപുരം എന്നാ സിനിമയെ കുറച്ചു നേരം ഓര്‍മിപ്പിച്ചു... ആകാശ ഗോപുരത്തിന്റെ സംഭാഷണ ശൈലി നാടകീയത കുറച്ചു കൂടിയ ഇനം ആയിരുന്നു.
സുരേഷ് ഗോപി യുടെ ടയലോഗുകളില്ലോടെ സിനിമ ക്ക് ജീവന്‍ വക്കുന്നു.
അച്ചടി ഭാഷ അക്ഷര സ്ഫുടമായി പറഞ്ഞ ഇദ്ദേഹം ഏആആഊ വിരുന്നെകി.

തലൈവാസല്‍ വിജയ്‌, അശോകന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവര്‍ നന്നായി.

കൃഷ്ണകുമാര്‍ എന്നാ നടന്റെ സാധ്യത മനസ്സിലാകിയ ചിത്രം കൂടി ആകുന്നു ഇത്. ചില ലേബലുകളില്‍ തലക്കപ്പെടാനയിരുന്നു കൃഷ്ണകുമാര്‍ ,മധുപാല്‍ തുടന്യിയ നല്ല നടന്മാരുടെ യോഗം.

പാര്‍ഥിപന്‍ കുറെ നേരം കുന്തം വിഴുങ്ങിയ പോലെ ഇരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പിന്നീടു കരള്‍ അലിയിപ്പിച്ച പ്രകടനം കാഴ്ച വച്ച്.


ഇതൊക്കെ തന്നെ.

ഒരു മുറി മാത്രം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് സിനിമയുടെ സാധ്യതകെലെ അവഗണിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു സിനിമ എടുക്കുന്നതില്‍ അര്‍ഥം ഉണ്ടോ എന്നാനെങ്ങില്‍ ബോറടിപ്പക്കാത്ത ഒരു സിനിമ എങ്ങനെ വേണമെങ്കിലും എടുതോട്ടെ എന്ന് ഞാന്‍ ഉത്തരം പറയും.

മറ്റൊരു പ്രത്യേകത സിനിമയില്‍ ഒരു സ്ത്രീ പോലും ഇല്ല. അമ്മു എന്നാ കുട്ടി യെ തല്‍ക്കാലം ഒഴിച്ച് നിര്‍ത്താം.

കൂതറ സിനിമകള്‍ ജനപ്രിയമായി മുന്നേറുമ്പോള്‍ ഇത്തരം നല്ല സിനിമകള്‍ അവഗനിക്കപ്പെടുന്നഹ്ടു കഷ്ടം തന്നെ... പ്രേക്ഷകരെ മാത്രം കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ട് കാര്യമില്ല. ചിത്രത്തിന് പ്രൊമോഷന്‍ വര്‍ക്ക് തീരെ കുറവാണ്. പത്രത്തില്‍ ഒരു പോസ്റ്റര്‍ പോലും ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.. NETIL ULLA CHILLARA NIROOPANANGAL മാത്രം ആണ് ITHINTE പബ്ലിസിറ്റി.
തലശ്ശേരി യില്‍ സിനിമ റിലീസ് ആകുന്നത്‌ തന്നെ ഒരു വാരത്തിന് ശേഷം ആണ്. കൂടാതെ സുരേഷ് ഗോപി യുടെ മങ്ങിയ ഫോമും.. ഇത് നന്നായി ഓടിയിരുന്നെങ്ങില്‍ സുരേഷ് ഗോപിക്ക് ഒരു ആശ്വാസം ആകുമായിരുന്നു.

നൂറില്‍ എണ്‍പത്തി അഞ്ചു മാര്‍ക്ക് കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

സംഭവം ഒരു വ്യത്യസ്ത ചിത്രം ഒക്കെ ആണ് ,പക്ഷെ ഒരു പാട് സ്ഥലത്ത് സംഭാഷണങ്ങള്‍ നാടകം പോലെ തോന്നിച്ചു
പോസിറ്റീവ് കല്‍ എല്ലാവരും പറഞ്ഞു കഴിഞ്ഞല്ലോ , എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയ ചില നെഗടിവുകള്‍

1) നാടകിയ സംഭാഷണങ്ങള്‍
2) സുരേഷ് ഗോപി യുടെ ചില ഡയലോഗ് കല്‍ (ex: "I am a Soul Hunter"-ഇതൊക്കെ എന്തിനായിരിന്നു ??)

വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെ പോയാല്‍ ചിലപ്പോ boradichekkam
